This multi-purpose arena consists of an indoor sports and spectator facility for basketball, hockey, concerts, and other public events. With seating capacity of 19,500 spectators, 82 private suites, numerous concession stands, press facilities to accommodate all media needs such as television broadcasting booths, stations for up to 175 press, administrative offices and locker rooms for sports teams, it has a current valuation of over $200 million .

This project has received several awards in the sports and entertainment facilities industry such as:

• Best New Venue, 1993 award by Pollster magazine,
• Best New Venue, 1993 awards by Performance magazine, and
• Facility of Merit award by Athletic Business magazine.

On the Arrowhead Pond arena project, over $8 million of building enhance­ments were added during construction phase by the client, and the building was still completed ahead of the original schedule. Sub-contractor initiated changes were kept to a level of less than one half of one percent (0.5%) of the contract amount. For every dollar spent on changes, the client saved 52 cents or 52% from the original contractor request, for $2 million in savings. Arena website
